We’re excited to see the first draft of the new Commonwealth Walkway braille & tactile panel for London.

The interpretation panel shows detail and highlights of the route as well as offering great detail into the history of the Commonwealth.

The walkway route is clearly marked along the way with Photocast’s cast bronze pavement roundels and takes in Australia House and The Church of Saint Clement Danes as well as several other notable buildings along the Strand route.

As with many of out projects this work uses a number of our unique in-house processes:

• Making the interpretation panel uses our zinc sheet acid etch process.
• Master pattern for our cast bronze roundels utilities our magnesium sheet acid etching process.
• Finally the Bronze roundels themselves are made in decorative cast bronze using traditional sand cast methods at our groups foundry.
